Hey, yall! We get asked quite a bit how we store our wire, and while it is an ever evolving situation, here is how we are currently keeping it organized! There are some affiliate links provided throughout this article that help support our business if you shop through them, but they are provided to help anyone who is in a shopping mood to get started to finding their perfect fit!
I use these pegs to hang the wire: amzn.to/3Srn2jn I ran into frustrations with getting the pegs from different stores because they all seemed to be just a bit different, so I ended up donating what I had purchased and splurged on getting all the hooks in one package so they would all hang at the same angle. Its the little things! My main work surface for wire wrapping is a vintage sewing machine desk with three drawers. I use the middle and bottom drawer for storing any wire that I have that is enameled copper or aluminum that doesn't fit on my peg board. I use these bins to keep bags of square and half round wire, as well as smaller spools of wire, contained: amzn.to/41bt3Vh I also love this makeup organizer to hold my square and half round wire: amzn.to/3EkGqbS In the bottom drawer of my craft desk there is an insert that I keep oddball spools of wire in, as well as overstock of my bigboi spools that typically go on the pegboard. In the bottom of the drawer I use a plate rack to hold my jumbo spools of 16ga wire.
